With this spell, you plan to bind a celestial, an elemental, a fey, or a lover to your service. The creature must be within range for the whole casting of the spell. (Typically, the creature is first summoned into the middle of an inverted magic circle so as to stay it trapped while this spell is cast.) At the completion of the casting, the target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, it’s sure to serve you for the duration. If the creature was summoned or created by another spell, that spell’s duration is extended to match the duration of this spell.

There are some FAQ’s
Q1: Does Planar Binding require you to maintain concentrating at the summoning spell?
Ans: Yes, you continue to want concentration. Note that the spelling period is extended, now no longer replaced, or changed.
Q2: Is there any manner for a wizard to summon a Celestial or Fey for Planar Binding?
Ans: You do not want to summon a fey or a celestial creature to the arena on the way to bind them. You can use an aircraft shift with the intention to get to fey wilds or heavens.
