A Guide to Wizard Spells in D&D 5e – Mastering the Arcane

Wizard spells in Dungeons & Dragons 5e are a set of spells available to the Wizard class, a powerful spellcasting class known for their versatility and ability to cast a wide range of spells. Wizards use their intelligence and knowledge to cast spells and can learn and prepare a vast array of spells from the Wizard spell list.

Wizards have access to spells from eight different schools of magic: Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy, and Transmutation. Each school of magic has its own unique flavor and focus, and Wizards can specialize in one of these schools to gain additional abilities.

Some popular Wizard spells include Fireball, which creates a massive explosion of fire that damages multiple targets; Mage Armor, which gives the Wizard a boost to their armor class; and Magic Missile, which fires a barrage of magical missiles that always hit their target.

Wizards also have access to powerful ritual spells, which can be cast without expending a spell slot, and can be used for various purposes such as divination, summoning creatures, and teleportation.

Wizards can learn new spells by copying them from spell scrolls, spellbooks, or other Wizards’ spellbooks. This makes them highly versatile spellcasters who can adapt to any situation and tailor their spellcasting to the needs of their party.
